Union Contracts
Collective Bargaining seeks to balance the interests of faculty and staff with those of educational institutions. Appointed or elected representatives of each group meet at regular intervals to negotiate contracts defining the roles and obligations of all parties.
NOCCCD employees are represented by three bargaining units. Classified Employees are represented by California School Employees Association. United Faculty represents the interests of full-time faculty, and Adjunct Faculty United represents part-time faculty.
Administration and Managers
The administration and managers of the North Orange County Community College District belong to the District Management Association (DMA). Though not a formal bargaining unit or union, DMA serves as a collective voice for District-wide management during salary and benefit discussions, and offers management-specific staff development opportunities.
Confidentials Group
The Confidentials Group is a Title 5, California Education Code term, which designates employees who work with information related to bargaining agreements and negotiations. This Group consists of Human Resources Specialists and District-wide Executive Assistants to the Vice Chancellors and CEOs.
