Native American Faculty and Staff Alliance (NAFSA)

NAFSA VISION - That NOCCCD is a place where Native American peoples are recognized, honored, and respected; there is awareness and understanding of Native American experiences, perspectives, and concerns districtwide; and there is meaningful investment in Native American communities.

NAFSA MISSION

Together with supporters, we:

  • Create spaces to learn about, celebrate, and honor Native American cultures, perspectives, experiences, concerns, knowledge, and scholarship both within and outside the classroom;
  • Empower and support Native American students;
  • Counter dominant narratives, erasure, and invisibilization by increasing visibility and promoting a strong Native American presence;
  • Create and maintain a well-connected Native American community to increase a sense of belonging and affinity.

NAFSA Membership

We are a new but growing group, and we welcome you to consider becoming a member of the Native American Faculty and Staff Alliance (NAFSA).  Membership is open to all faculty and staff, including supporters as well as those who are Native American.

Annual dues of $100 can be paid by check, or members can opt for an automatic payroll deduction of $10 per month for 10 months (August through May). If you choose to pay by check, please make the check to: Fullerton College Bursar's Office and note that it's for NAFSA membership. Dues are used to pay for NAFSA expenses, to provide scholarships to Native American students, and for NAFSA events and initiatives.
