Donate Goods & Supplies
Thank you for your interest in donating goods or supplies to the North Orange County Community College District. Your interest in supporting our mission of student success is greatly appreciated.
The District and the campuses accept various types of donations for our students and programs. In accordance with BP 3820/AP 3820 Gifts and Donations, the Board of Trustees “shall consider all gifts, donations and bequests made to the District. The Board reserves the right to refuse to accept any gift which does not contribute toward the goals of the District, or the ownership of which would have the potential to deplete resources of the District.”
This policy is intended to create practices that adequately safeguard public funds, provide for accountability, and ensure compliance with all state and federal laws.
Some examples of appropriate donations are:
Goods
- Books
- Unopened, non-expired hygiene and toiletry products, including diapers
- Nonperishable food
- Gently used professional clothing professional including the following: dresses, jackets, shoes, blouses, pants, dress-shirts, and assorted accessories.
- Personal protective equipment
- Equipment for college career technical education programs
- Sporting goods
- Works of art
- Cultural or international items
Services
- Entertainment: including services such as master of ceremonies, musical performances, cultural and dance performances
- Catering: Donations may include use of a venue, food, set-up and service personnel, tables, seating, lighting, linens, parking and valet, and other needs associated with special events
- Flowers/plants for special events
Note that NOCCCD can only accept bulk quantities of product and services from manufacturers, suppliers, and/or distributors as in-kind donations. In-kind product must be non-expired, palletized and transported at the donor's expense.
