About Public Affairs and Governmental Relations

The award-winning NOCCCD Office of Public and Governmental Affairs is responsible for advancing the District’s reputation, mission, priorities, and values through storytelling, branding, and relationship building. 

We are the Voice of NOCCCD

The Office of Public and Governmental Affairs is the chief communications organization for the District charged with promoting and protecting NOCCCD’s reputation, brand, and image. The department supports the Chancellor, executive management staff, and the Board of Trustees and serves as a resource to faculty, staff, students, elected officials, and the general public for information.

Our office works to:

  • Advance and protect NOCCCD’s identity and reputation while promoting awareness of its many accomplishments
  • Reinforce and grow NOCCCD’s brand while increasing its visibility in local, state and federal marketplaces
  • Support NOCCCD’s student success objectives and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility and Anti-Racism work
  • Strengthen NOCCCD’s relevance and value to key audiences including faculty, staff and students, as well as community and workforce partners, legislative officials, and education colleagues
