This 30-minute pre-recorded workshop, featuring Waymakers Prevention Education Specialist Nicole Zárate, CHES and Prevention Coordinator Sabrina Hughes, will provide a blueprint for Sexual Assault Awareness Month and teach community members about definitions, consent, myths, and sexual assault prevention. The link will become available Thursday, April 1st and will stay active until Friday, April 9th.
Waymakers Executive Director, Victim Assistance Programs Director, and SAVS staff will orient viewers to services available to those impacted by sexual assault, educate on the history of common Sexual Assault Awareness Month events, and share narratives from survivors in Orange County. This 35-minute workshop, titled "Bodies and Boundaries: Parenting for a Consent Culture," is are showing of the presentation facilitated by SAVS Advocates in October 2020. This pre-recorded lecture will teach parents of young children how prevent sexual assault and abuse through conversations around bodily autonomy and Internet safety. The link will be active April 9th through April 16th.
