The District Office of Public and Governmental Affairs and Campus Communications Departments at Fullerton College and NOCE celebrated Rising Star Award recipient Miranda Bates, NOCE Communications Specialist, and 12 Medallion Awards at the virtual National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) District 6 Conference on November 9 and 10, 2021.
The Rising Star Award recognizes newcomers who have demonstrated special creativity or ability in marketing and public relations and show evidence of a promising future in the field. It is awarded annually in each of NCMPR's seven districts, and district winners automatically qualify for consideration for the national award. NOCCCD is honored to have its very own NOCE Communications Specialist Miranda Bates represent District 6 as the 2021 Rising Star Award recipient.

She was instrumental in advancing NOCE's brand and style guide, helping her coworkers achieve institutional consistency. The Medallion Awards recognize outstanding achievement in design and communication at community and technical colleges in each of NCMPR's seven districts. District 6 includes Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Utah, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of Palau, Republic of the Marshall Islands, and Territory of Guam.
The District Office of Public and Governmental Affairs received seven awards in the categories of viewbook, annual report, book or specialty publication, poster, electronic newsletter, and logo design. Fullerton College earned five awards for creative work in the categories of brochure, video short, radio advertisement, and digital ad.

2020-21 NOCCCD Academic & Training Options (click here) The 2020-21 NOCCCD Academic and Training Options viewbook was used as a recruitment tool. It provided prospective students with an introduction to the District, its three campuses and the programs of study available at each. This viewbook was the perfect place for prospective students to start their higher education journey by narrowing down their interests and choosing the campus that best fits their needs. |

2019-20 NOCCCD Annual Report (click here) Each year, the District Office of Public and Governmental Affairs publishes an annual report to share District-wide accomplishments with the community. The 2019-20 NOCCCD Annual Report focused on the silver linings of a difficult year. Report highlights included the COVID-19 pandemic pivot and the 2021-30 Educational and Facilities Master Plan, as well as sections on our students, employees, and finance and facilities. Topics ranged from addressing student basic needs and strengthening our institutional commitment to diversity to shifting to a new resource allocation model and Measure J updates. |

2021 Legislative Priorities (click here) The District Office of Public and Governmental Affairs, with assistance from legislative consultants, advocates on behalf of NOCCCD to ensure that our students have access to affordable education and are successful in attaining their educational goals. Each year, the District identifies critically important state and federal legislative priorities to focus advocacy efforts on to support our students population, staff, faculty, and long-term sustainability. These priorities are printed in a booklet and shared with our advocates in Sacramento and Washington, DC to act expeditiously on key state and federal issues that impact NOCCCD. |

2021-2030 NOCCCD Educational and Facilities Master Plan (click here) Developed collaboratively with a vibrant and engaged three campus community, the purpose of this document is to guide the District through 2030, and serve as the measuring stick by which future educational programs and facilities investments will be evaluated. The EFMP is grounded in internal realities, such as the current systems and programs, and integrates external influences, such as demographic trends and the community's educational interests and workforce needs. |

Student Resource Guide (click here) This brochure guide was developed to help serve new students who were onboarding during the Fall 2020 semester and during the Covid-19 pandemic. The brochure was mailed in a welcome package to 3,000 new students. The brochure features a welcome from the president, a variety of online support services offered during the campus closure, and a directory of departments. It also features graphic design and original student photos submitted to us during COVID. Because it was difficult to arrange photography with students during the pandemic closure, we solicited original photos from students in their online and home environments. We felt it was especially important to capture real students in this publication. |

Spotify Streaming Ad for Fullerton College Radio Ad Single (click here) This radio ad created specifically for streaming music platforms had a reach of 14,000 and 18,519 impressions and resulted in 41 clicks on Spotify. The ad ran between Jan. 11 - Jan. 25, 2021 to help boost spring 21 enrollment. The audio file of the ad features a Latinx male. We intentionally hired a Latinx actor to appeal to future students and students who had stopped out. |

Find Your Future at Fullerton College Radio Ad Series (click here) Bilingual (Spanish) radio ads were developed in 15, 30, and 60 second formats to reach radio listeners of the Southern California radio station, CALI 93.9FM. The ads are upbeat, reach multiple age audiences with a total of 345 campaign spots over the course of six weeks. |

Find Your... at Fullerton College (click here) Find Your... at Fullerton College digital ads created by the Office of Campus Communications were used to purchase ad space on social media and the web. The ads feature Fullerton College students enrolled in in-person classes during the Covid-19 pandemic as well as former students at graduation. The ads highlight in-person offerings, the Promise Program (2 years free tuition) and other academic programs and support services. The ads were graphically designed in-house with original photos and the college's brand colors and fonts. |
